This workshop explores common upper and lower limb injuries through a clinical and movement-based lens. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the three stages of tissue healing – inflammation, repair, and remodeling – and how these phases guide safe and effective rehabilitation.

We will examine different types of pain, including acute, chronic, inflammatory, and referred pain, and discuss how pain mechanisms influence movement, recovery timelines, and exercise selection. The workshop will clarify how to distinguish between pain driven primarily by tissue irritation and pain influenced by heightened nervous system sensitivity, and how this distinction informs load progression and rehabilitation strategy.

The course includes essential anatomy of the pelvis, lower limbs, shoulder, elbow, and wrist to better understand injury mechanisms and biomechanical stress. We will examine conditions such as IT band syndrome, piriformis syndrome, runner’s knee, meniscus tears, ankle sprains, frozen shoulder, shoulder impingement, tennis and golfer’s elbow, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

For each condition, we will review how the injury develops, key signs and symptoms, and evidence-informed rehabilitation strategies, including mobility work, progressive strengthening, load management, and return-to-function planning.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have practical tools and clinical insight to confidently manage pain, support tissue healing, and guide clients through structured rehabilitation of common limb injuries while reducing recurrence risk.
