SUMMARY:Pilates for Scoliosis :: Tallinn :: Estonia
DESCRIPTION:This course is designed to educate Pilates instructors on how to work with students who have scoliosis effectively. It covers the anatomy of scoliosis\, diagnostic methods\, treatment options\, and specific exercises tailored to individuals with scoliosis. The course includes both theoretical and practical components\, focusing on exercises using different mat and Pilates equipment\, such as the Reformer and the Chair. \nThe theoretical aspect of the course provides a comprehensive understanding of scoliosis\, covering not only its anatomy but also the various types. Instructors will learn about idiopathic\, congenital\, and neuromuscular scoliosis and how these different forms impact spinal alignment and function. This broad coverage prepares instructors to cater to the diverse needs of their students. Detailed discussions will cover the physiological changes in the spine\, ribs\, and pelvis caused by scoliosis\, providing a solid foundation for understanding the condition. We will also discuss the progression of scoliosis and other treatment options\, such as surgery and bracing. \nThe practical component of the course is designed to equip instructors with the skills needed to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world settings. This includes tailored learning exercises for individuals with scoliosis\, focusing on enhancing spinal alignment\, strengthening core muscles\, and improving overall body awareness and function. \nBody & Flow is an official NCPC CEC provider\, and we’re proud to support the ongoing development of Pilates professionals through high-quality continuing education. This course can be counted towards your CEC. \n

SUMMARY:Understanding Pain and Limb Injuries
DESCRIPTION:This workshop explores common upper and lower limb injuries through a clinical and movement-based lens. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the three stages of tissue healing – inflammation\, repair\, and remodeling – and how these phases guide safe and effective rehabilitation. We will examine different types of pain\, including acute\, chronic\, inflammatory\, and referred pain\, and discuss how pain mechanisms influence movement\, recovery timelines\, and exercise selection. The workshop will clarify how to distinguish between pain driven primarily by tissue irritation and pain influenced by heightened nervous system sensitivity\, and how this distinction informs load progression and rehabilitation strategy. \nFor each condition\, we will review how the injury develops\, key signs and symptoms\, and evidence-informed rehabilitation strategies\, including mobility work\, progressive strengthening\, load management\, and return-to-function planning. \nBy the end of the workshop\, participants will have practical tools and clinical insight to confidently manage pain\, support tissue healing\, and guide clients through structured rehabilitation of common limb injuries while reducing recurrence risk.
